WTF?

SAM GHANTOUS
operates independently as an experimental architectural designer. His work focuses on architecture’s entanglements with contemporary media and internet culture through the production of networked images and interactive software, simultaneously with constructed spaces and situations. Some of this website investigates how design is mediated, ordered, and influenced by visual media.

He is a co-founder of FOREIGN OBJECTS
, a multidisciplinary and itinerant design and research studio currently located between New York, Toronto, and London. They have won the MOZILLA CREATIVE MEDIA AWARD and the BARD GRADUATE CENTER Digital Artist in Residency, presented work with the INTERNET ARCHIVE and LONDON OPEN CITY DOC, and worked on projects for Shannon Mattern, BELL LABS and RHIZOME.

Sam is represented by YveYANG Gallery in New York, and has also exhibited with POSTMASTERS GALLERY and A83. He has been published in THRESHOLDS Journal, PLAT Journal, BROOKLYN RAIL, and KILLSCREEN Magazine. Sam has taught at CORNELL AAP and MIT SA+P from where he received his Master of Architecture. He is currently a lecturer at the DANIELS FACULTY of Architecture at the University of Toronto where he teaches in the Graduate and Undergraduate programs.

Also, Sam is happy to hear from you, entertain your wild visions, and share a drink on zoom.
